Peter Andre says David Beckham is his idol because of his successful personal life.

The ‘Behind Closed Doors’ singer is a huge fan of the soccer star because the father-of-four has a successful marriage with wife Victoria as well as being one of the most famous people in the world.

Peter said: ‘The person I really look up to is David Beckham. Look how long Victoria and him and have been together. Apart from that one thing (when he was accused of having an affair with his former personal assistant Rebecca Loos) he knows how to make it work. I really admire him when it comes to family.’

Peter – who has children Junior, seven, and five-year-old Princess with ex-wife Katie Price – recently began seeing new girlfriend Emily Macdonagh and while he’s very happy with her, he has no plans to marry at the moment.

He said: ‘It’s going really well. She’s a lovely girl who’s making me happy again.

‘But marriage and family aren’t on the cards yet. It’s only been a few weeks!’
