Last night in the Olympic stadium we had two Cypriots taking part.

Cypriot high jumper Kyriacos Ioannou went out in the early stages of the Mens high jump final when he failed three times to clear 2.25 metres. The winner was Russian Ivan Ukhov with a jump of 2.38 metres.

Cypriot sprinter Eleni Artymata failed to qualify for the Womens’ 200 metres final when she came 8th in her semi final heat with a time of 22.92 seconds.
