One person was injured in clashes between police and sheep and goat farmers outside the Presidential Palace Thursday. The unrest occurred as the farmers, protesting against cuts in subsidies, tried to prevent the car carrying the Foreign Minister entering the palace grounds. The protesters brought a number of their animals with them to underline their case. Agriculture Minister, Sophocles Aletraris told the farmers that there was not enough money to pay the full subsidy and that if they refused to accept it it would be given to another group.
