Tasos Theofilou was remanded in custody this week after being charged with taking part in a deadly armed robbery on Paros earlier this month and being a member of the urban guerrilla group Conspiracy of the Cells of Fire.
The 30-year-old refused to answer the magistrate’s questions but his lawyer said there was scant evidence linking him to the charges.
Authorities revealed that they found files on a laptop recovered from an apartment in Lamia, central Greece, that Theofilou rented, which contained instructions on CCTV systems, picking car locks and maintaining weapons.
Officers also said they found equipment that was being used to forge identification documents.
