The Council of Ministers appointed on Thursday the Chairman and the Members of Cyprus Airways Board of Directors.

 In stements after the meeting of the Cabinet, Government Spokesman Stephanos Stephanou said that the Council of Ministers appointed the Chairman and the Members of Cyprus Airways Board of Directors as agreed after consultations between the government and the House of Representatives.

 Stavros Stavrou, businessman and accountant, has been appointed as the new Chairman of the Board of Directors. Panicos Pouros, former Director General of Planning Bureau, Minos Charalampous, accountant, Adonis Pigasiou, member of the Research Centre of the European University of Cyprus, Achilleas Tsangaris, accountant, Kyriakos Kakouris, senior officer of the Ministry of Finance, Charalampos Tapas, President of PASYPI (Pilots’ Union) and Xenakis Xenofontos, Director of CA Engineer’s Department have been appointed as members of the Board.
