A teenager is arrested after Isabella Sarah Tennant is found dead near to her grandmother’s home.
The body of a five-year-old girl who was reported missing in America on Sunday has been found hidden in a rubbish bin.
Isabella Sarah Tennant had been staying at her grandmother’s house in Niagara Falls and was last seen alive at around 10.30pm on Sunday.
She was reported missing by relatives at 6am on Monday.
Her body was found inside a rubbish bag in a bin around four hours later in an alleyway a few blocks away.
Two people are currently in custody and police say they will be charged with killing the little girl.
A 16-year-old family friend, thought to be the last person known to have seen Isabella alive, is one of the two being held. It is believed he went to police on his own.
Niagara Falls chief detective William Thompson said the second person was involved after the girl was already dead.
A post-mortem examination will take place on Tuesday.
