Sunday 5th August saw A-Star Sports receive an amazing Twitter business boost from TV Dragon’s Den star Theo Paphitis.

A-Star Sports tweeted Theo during ‘Small Business Sunday’, an initiative set up by Theo that runs weekly:

Theo re‐tweeted the message to his 260,000+ followers and as a result, the business now has almost 100 more followers and access to an incredible business network. A-Star Sports is also profiled on a new website that is exclusive to Small Business Sunday winners.

Tweeter for A-Star Sports, Sharon Bassett, said: “To stand out enough to catch Theo’s attention is a fantastic boost for our business. Theo’s support means a great deal because it’s raising the profile of a new business can be incredibly challenging and Theo has recognised our hard work and helped spread the word about what we do to his following of thousands.”

#teamSBS, the #SBS network – made up of previous winners, gave A-Star Sports the most incredible welcome.  Sharon added: “#teamSBS welcomed us with a raft of warm and generous tweets and what a week to make it onto the team.  With all the Olympic medals for Team GB, we feel like we’ve just joined them on the top of the podium!”

Anyone looking for a re‐tweet from Theo should tweet him about their business on Sunday between 5pm and 7.30pm and include the hashtag #SBS. Six lucky businesses are retweeted every week and then invited to enter their profile on the new website. This is done free of charge and the new website is sponsored by Ryman Stationery, where Theo is Chairman.
