After five years, Demi Georgiou’s first ever visit to the hair salon was more special than most – as she raised more than £800 for charity with her chop.

Demi’s fabulous new bob has made her feel great, and will help create at least two wigs for little girls and boys who have lost their own hair.

The Lordship Lane Primary School pupil is giving her lopped-off locks and a total of at least £832 to the Little Princess Trust.

Proud mum Jolene Fuller admitted there were a few last-minute nerves as it was Demi’s first proper haircut. But any worries fell away by Saturday morning ahead of her visit to Priory Hair in Priory Lane, Tottenham.

Ms Fuller, of Wood Green, said: “Once the ponytail had been cut off the first thing she said was, ‘Oh my God Mum, my head’s not heavy anymore’. She is delighted with her new haircut and can’t stop looking in the mirror, I think I now have one vain little girl on my hands!”
