Bayer Leverkusen has signed Greek defender Konstantinos Stafylidis from PAOK Thessaloniki for next season.
Leverkusen says the 19-year-old left back signed a five-year deal with the Bundesliga club effective from June 2013.
Both clubs agreed not to disclose a transfer fee.
Leverkusen managing director Wolfgang Holzhaeuser says Stafylidis’ transfer is an ”investment for the future” and that the player is ”already established at PAOK despite his youth.”
Club sporting director Rudi Voeller says Stafylidis was a target for several clubs and ”we’re very happy that he decided for us.”
