CYPRUS has earned itself a place in the Guinness Book of Records with the largest flaouna, baked by Carrefour supermarket’s bakers in Kato Polemidia, Limassol.

The gigantic flaouna measures between 1.20m in width, 2.37m in length and weighs 259 kilos.

It was presented yesterday during a Carrefour event with all of the proceeds going to charity. Also, 20 per cent of proceeds from the sale of all flaounes in Carrefour supermarkets islandwide yesterday went to charity
