RS Archery attracted the attentions of the millionaire entrepreneur with a carefully worded Tweet about their company during Small Business Sunday, or #SBS.
Every Sunday, Mr Paphitis invites companies to tweet him, and retweets his six favourite messages to his 235,000 odd followers.
RS Archery was chosen as one of the six with the following statement: “@TheoPaphitis #sbs for all that is Robin Hood – company archery events, archery clubs, medieval birthday parties. Archery the sport for all.”
“From that one retweet by the Dragon, we instantly gained more followers and naturally loads of interest in our archery company based in Hatfield,” said RS Archery owner Steven Davies, who runs the business with wife Rebekah.
Last week, the couple came face-to-face with the entrepreneur at the first-ever Small Business Sunday event, held in Birmingham.
“A little known fact about Theo is that he loves archery which made a perfect conversation point when we met at the #sbs event,” Steven said.
“The future for RS Archery is looking great because of this special win and maybe one day Theo may even pop down to our club for a quick shoot.”
