The newborn baby found dead under an olive tree at Aradippou had not been fed since her birth, a post-mortem found.
Pathologist Eleni Antoniou said that the little girl had no injuries and had been born naturally shortly after midnight on Sunday, New Year’s Day.
She had survived for between five and eight hours before she died of a combination of malnutrition and cold.
The baby had been covered in a pyjama.
Police are continuing their trawl of clinic and hospitals in the area.
