No frills airliner Ryanair announced on Tuesday it would open its 50th base – and first in Cyprus – at the coastal town of Paphos in April. “Two based aircraft and 14 routes from Paphos will initially deliver over 600,000 passengers annually and sustain over 600 jobs with over 80 weekly flights,” Ryanair’s Michael Cawley told journalist in Nicosia.

The Paphos routes are to Patra, Chania, Frankfurt Hahn, Kaunas, Krakow, Stansted, Memmingen, Bergamo, Oslo, Pisa, Rome, Stockholm, Thessaloniki and Treviso. To mark the occasion Ryanair are offering seats at €20.99 to the majority of existing destinations until midnight Thursday, January 12. Travel is for late February and March.
