Michael Klanga celebrated his 105th birthday party at Anastasia Lodge in Winchmore Hill on Wednesday 11th January 2012 in a vibrant and pleasant surroundings they had a birthday party for Michael to celebrate his 105th birthday.
Michael’s birthday was actually the 7th of January and what a busy day he had last Wednesday in the morning he had tea with the Mayor of Barnet Lisa Rutter and in the evening he had the party at Anastasia Lodge where he resides. . The party in the evening was a close family affair with his seven children, Andrew, Costa, Chris, Helen, George, Charlie and Irene plus a few invited guests. There was a nice spread of food, desserts and of course the Birthday cake. Also on display was a birthday card from the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions the Right Honourable Iain Duncan Smith MP.
Michael Klanga was born January 7th 1907 in Analyonda in the Nicosia area and was a farmer marrying Maria whose maiden name was Papaconstantinou also from Analyonda in the 1940’s. She died about 15 years ago in her early eighties. He came to the UK in 1955 and use to have a grocery store in Camden Town. He has seven children, 14 Grandchildren and 17 Grandchildren.
