A man is in a stable condition in hospital after being stabbed by a young man riding a mountain bike.
The 34-year-old victim was stabbed several times in the body and arm in what police called a “violent and unprovoked attack”.
Police are hunting a white man aged about 20, possibly with a lazy eye, with short brown hair, of slim build and prominent cheekbones.
Officers were called at about 5.10pm on Friday, January 13, to Vale Road, South Tottenham, and arrived to find the man being given first aid by members of the public. Police also helped until an ambulance arrived. He is now recovering in hospital.
No arrests have been made and enquiries continue. Investigating officer Det Con Alex Peddie, of Haringey CID, said: “This violent and unprovoked attack is unacceptable and we are determined to do all that we can to identify the person responsible.
“I appeal to anyone that was in the area of Green Lanes, Hermitage Road or Vale Road that may have seen any part of the incident, or seen the suspect before or after the attack, to contact us.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact Det Con Peddie on 020 8345 0885 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
