Cypriot students, members of the Athens branch of the Prodeftiki students’ union, picketed the Athens offices of Cyprus Airways Wednesday calling for lower fares.
They said that CA had promised 20% lower fares for students in 2010 but this had never materialised.
Calling for a genuine student fare, they said that most students travelled backwards and forwards from Greece three times a year and the fare was a significant cost when added to accommodation and food.
