The Cyprus Football Association has reduced a six-month ban it imposed on the coach of league-leading club Omonia for shoving a referee to just four games. But a CFA appeals board upheld a €2,000 fine for coach Neophytos Larkou, who it found guilty of unsportsmanlike conduct. The CFA handed Larkou the longer ban last month after it accepted testimony from referee Christos Elia, who accused the Omonia coach of shoving him following the team’s 1-1 draw at Anagennisis Dherynia in October. The appeals board said that shoving didn’t merit a six-month ban which would have kept Larkou away the bench for the rest of the season.
