A 28-year-old man was remanded for three days in police custody on Sunday in connection with gangland style-killing in the capital last week.
According to police spokesman Michalis Katsounotos, the suspect is being investigated in connection with charges of premeditated murder, conspiracy to commit a crime and illegal possession of a firearm.
Victim Charalambos Charalambous, 34, aka the Frog, was found shot dead in a car outside his home in Victor Hugo Street in Archangelos on Tuesday.
Investigators said there was evidence that two gunmen ambushed and opened fire on Charalambous in a killing which has all the hallmarks of a professional hit.
Katsounotos said arrest warrants had been issued for two other people in connection with the case.
