The mother, aunt and an employee of the 29-year-old man in custody in connection with the deaths of a three-year-old girl and her pregnant mother were arrested Thursday night.
Youla Oporok, 24, from Moldova was four months pregnant. She and her daughter Victoria were found on a beach near Paphos. Youla had been shot four times and her daughter smothered.
Deputy Police Spokesman, Nicoletta Tyrimou, said the mother, 56, the aunt, 54, and a 16 year old who worked as an apprentice at the suspect’s salonare being investigated in connection with conspiracy to commit a crime, cooperation after the commission of a crime, destruction of evidence and interfering with the course of justice.
Tyrimou said it appeared that the 16 year old acting on the instructions of the suspect’s mother entered the salon, which was closed, and collected a jacket and a bag belonging to the suspect and handed to his mother. Three houses were searched but the items were not found.
The three will appear before PaphosDistrict Court today for a remand order.
