Katie Price has agreed to pay undisclosed libel damages to her ex-hubby Peter Andre.

The settlement is over claims that he was unfaithful to her. He began defamation proceedings following an interview his ex-wife gave to Heat magazine as well as comments made on The Graham Norton Show in October 2009.

The singer accepted a public apology from the model at the High Court in London, although neither of them were at the hearing. She will also make a contribution to his legal costs.

Pete has said that the money he receives from the case will be paid into a trust fund for Katie’s son, Harvey.

The libel settlement comes just days after Katie publicly offered an olive branch to Pete as he travelled to Australia to make a return to the I’m A Celebrity jungle.

Writing on Twitter, she said: “Good luck in OZ and remember what I said.”

And it seems Pete might finally be ready to be friends with his ex-wife after she spoke positively about him on Loose Women.

Speaking to New! magazine, he said: “It’s really nice that she said that about me. We did have some really good times together and we are talking at the moment and trying to be friends.”

And he didn’t stop there, also opening up to Mark Wright on last night’s I’m A Celebrity.

“I loved Katie more than I loved anyone in my life” he told the TOWIE star. “We had kids, a marriage. You never lose that, yeah, being here is spooking me out.”
