GEORGE Michael is heading home for Christmas after a remarkable recovery in his battle with pneumonia.

The singer is expected to be discharged within the next few days from the hospital in Austria where he has been treated for the past month.

He will head straight for his London home in time to enjoy Christmas Day there.

Medics initially feared he would need to stay in hospital for months.

George’s boyfriend, celebrity hairdresser Fadi Fawaz, 38, has been at his bedside throughout his ordeal.

He revealed in a post on Twitter that the singer has been given the all-clear to leave.
