Revenue from tourism reached 188.8 million euros in October 2011 compared to 175.5 million euros in the corresponding month of the previous year, recording an increase of 7.5%, according to the results of the Passenger Survey announced on Thursday by the Statistical Service.

The results also show that for the period January-October 2011 revenue from tourism is estimated at 1,642.9 million euros compared to 1,446.5 million euros in the corresponding period of 2010, recording an increase of 13.6%.

The total tourist arrivals for October 2011 reached 259,863 compared to 241,698 in the corresponding period last year.
