Ten Larnaca flights to and from Heathrow Airport will be affected due to the 24-hour strike by public sector workers affecting London’s biggest airport.

Public Relations and Communications Manager of Hermes Airports, Adamos Aspris, said that due to Wednesday’s 24-hour strike, passengers may face inconvenience on their arrival in London.

He added that so far there would be no cancellations of flights, since the strike only concerns those who work in the passport control.

However, he continued ”the likelihood of delays can not be excluded since it directly depends on the situation in the British airport”.

According to Aspris, during Wednesday the flight program of Larnaca International Airport includes ten scheduled flights to and from Heathrow Airport, namely five departures and five arrivals.

He added that the flight schedule of Paphos International Airport should not be affected.
