However, the treatment won’t make him a better singer.
The Aussie star has called in the experts in a bid to avoid an operation on his vocal chords.
And Peter – famous for his 1995 hit Mysterious Girl and his 2005 marriage to Katie Price – fears surgery could irreparably damage the sound of his voice.
He’s been suffering with throat issues since September after doctors discovered a lesion, but wants to recover the natural way.
He revealed: “I’m doing therapy. I’m doing it about four or five times a week at the moment.
“I reckon within a few months I should be ok, hopefully. I won’t have to have the operation if I keep doing this therapy. It’s intense, but I’ve got to do it.
“If you have an operation, there are risks. If you don’t, there’s none. You know, singing is my passion.”
Sadly for Peter, the music-buying public isn’t quite as passionate about his singing as he is – his latest single Perfect Night peaked at No48 in the charts.
