You wouldn’t expect the Duchess of Cornwall to be rocking a tattoo of any sort, least of all on her hand.

However Camilla showed at a charity event yesterday that the henna tattoo she was given on her trip to Tanzania is stubbornly refusing to go away.

The Duchess was given the tattoo on her state visit to the country nine days ago with her husband Prince Charles.

She told the Mail: “The less said about that the better! I didn’t feel that I could refuse and it was rather beautiful but then, after I had it done, this lady put her hand on mine and splodged it everywhere.”

“I just can’t get it off. I have tried scrubbing and everything…nailbrushes, you name it. I just don’t know what to do.”
