First Division

Tripimeni 1 Dynamo 5: Shock of the day has to be Dynamo beating Tripimeni 5-1 away from home. It has to be one of the  worst performance’s ever by Tripimeni. Even so Tripimeni took the lead in the 20^th minute with a goal by Alex Roussis but by the interval Dynamo were winning 3-1. Dynamo’s goals coming from Steve Violaris, Anthony Macdonald and John Nicholas. The second half had Tripimeni sending long balls into the Dynamo rear guard with no avail. Dynamo now with confidence were playing nice football putting strings of passes together and as a result Dynamo got a further two goals with Alex Violaris and a second for Anthony Macdonald to give Dynamo a comfortable 5-1 win.

Brotherhood 2 Panthea 3: What an exciting game this was , Panthea were leading 2-0  within 25 minutes. Goals coming from Kyri with a header, and a 30 yard shot Cracker from Lawrence. By the end of the first half Brotherhood were able to pull one back with a goal from their top striker Aaron Kennedy. Second half Brotherhood  went out full speed for Panthea and were rewarded

With a second goal scored by Aarron Kennedy . It led to Panthea waking up and scoring a third goal with a shot from the edge of the box from Kyri Kyprianou. It looked it was going to end there but there was a twist to the game when  Brotherhood  got a penalty in the last minute of added time , but Mallinson failed to score from the penalty spot finally giving Panthea a 3-2 win.

New Salamis 3 Cetinkaya Cinar 0: New Salamis seem unstoppable, another convincing win by the red’s putting them five points clear of their nearest rivals. It wasn’t as easy as the score suggests Cetinkaya Cinar gave a good fight and were disillusioned when the first goal came from an own goal in the 20^th minute.  Just before half time Richard Georgiou scored from a penalty for New Salamis. Second half Cetinkaya drove hard to get back in to the game but were foiled with a 75^th minute goal from Salamina’s  Leo Mckenzie to kill off any chance of Cetinkaya getting back into the game.

Omonia 1 Aradippou 0:  This was a close fought game between two of the newly promoted teams and an important game for both as the two teams were going for their second win this season. A great atmosphere at the game played in good spirit and it took till the last few minutes for the decisive winning goal to be scored by Rob Collins.

Rizokarpasso 2 AEL 1: Rizokarpasso are showing their true colours by beating second in the table AEL , Rizokarpasso are continually  improving. Rizokarpasso took the lead within five minutes with a goal from Leon Semper and were coasting in the first half. AEL equalised in the 60^th minute with a well taken goal by George Michael. It took a goal in the 70^th minute from Jamie to decide the game.

Second Division

The second division is really hotting up

Olympia 3 Pantel 2: Olympia still hanging on at the top of the table but were behind within five minutes with Pantel taking the lead with a goal from Israel and it wasn’t till the 20^th minute that Olympia equalised with a goal from Antonis Pratsides and two minutes later with  a goal from Mustafa Denizel to make it 2-1 to Olympia . Pantel showed character and that they will be fighting for a promotion place and came back to equalise in the 55^th minute with another goal from Israel. It needed an 80^th minute goal by Kyri Georgiou to give Olympia a 1-0 win to keep them unbeaten.

Achna 1 Anorthosis 2: Second in the table Anorthosis seem to make a difficult job of beating Achna on Sunday , although they had a lot of possession their finishing was poor. Alexandrou scored the first goal for Anorthosis in the 40^th minute followed by a goal from Anthony Manoli in the 50^th minute. Achna were still battling away and scored a consolation goal with a penalty taken by Stelios Andrea in the 87^th minute.

Arachne 0 Maronites 4: Arachne still to win a game had a handful with buzzing Maronites, Adam Ali scored the first for Maronites in the 6^th minute and his second for them in the 50^th minute . Maronites were well in control and scored a third with a 30 yard screamer from Luke Demetriades. Maronites 4^th came in the 80^th minute with a well taken goal by Elias Koutsoulides.

Pendayia 0 Apoel 2:  This was another close fought game in the second division Apoel led in the 30^th minute with a goal from Jason Mason. Michael Spencer scored in the 70^th minute to make it 2-0 Apoel. Pendayia were still battling and just could not back into the game.
