KLN are struggling they are in disarray no players and committee and have not been able to field a team this season. We must help.

Formed in 1953. It is over half a century since the first seeds of an idea were sown in  England, to create a club for the youth of estranged Cypriot community in London.

The Cyprus Youth Club was founded, with it’s goal, to correctly enlighten and entertain, all those youngsters, who would find companionship amongst their own people. The first lot of players were top players in Cyprus coming from the big clubs in Cyprus some even internationals they played in the Hendon League for several years winning several trophies before joining KOPA . KLN also represented Cyprus in USSR Youth Games in Russia from 1955 to 1960. They were also regular visitors to Cyprus where they regularly defeated top teams from there.

KLN not only with their football team but also with their dance group took part in the Pan Cyprian games in Cyprus in 1960 to celebrate Cyprus Independance day .

Former  players including Peter Stephanou ,Jimmy Cattle, Neoclis Georgiou, Andy Fellahoudi  were later to become top managers in the league George Eracleous was there from 16 years old eventually became a referee you still have Nicos Argyrides the former hard man of KLN still active in the community. You had Tasos Constantinou who played for Cyprus Youth and ended up playing for AEK in Greece and Cyprus internationally. In 1975  the  early successes of K.L.N. and the increasing demand from other clubs to follow their  example, it was essential to have a governing body, that would correctly direct the functions of all Club members and it was this that prompted the community to form KOPA.

All members of the community who would like to be part  and help KLN to be a spotlight of the community again there is an Annual General Meeting of the club on Thursday October the 6^th at 7.00pm at the Cypriot Community Centre , Wood Green, Earlham Grove , London N22 5HJ.
