The under 16 KOPA Representative team continued with KOPA’s youth success last night at Haringey Borough stadium. It was the Under 16 Representative team first game , this team is the initiative of KOPA (Cypriot Football League in the UK) and KOA (Cyprus Sports Association).
The U16’s beat ASE Sports Academy 2-0 played in front of several fans , it was pleasing to see very high quality football there was 23 players on show for KOPA and all players were given a chance to shine. For the management team its a big headache but a good problem to have as the potential is there in all the players. It was trial to see which players will be representing our community.
The KOPA team played a tough opposition in ASE Sports and came through with a good performance .The KOPA team took time to settle and produced several chances throughout the game with the opposing keeper making several good saves KOPA’s first goal came from Andreas Komodikis in the first half a strike within the penalty area.
Second half there was several changes and again it took time for the KOPA team to settle and got a goal in the 70th minute when Christos Ellinas scored from the edge of the box.
A good result overall.
