Turkey’s activity in Cyprus’ Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) and in waters south of Cyprus remains “unchanged” , Minister of Communications and Works Efthymios Flourentzos said on Friday.
“The information we have regarding activity at sea in our EEZ is the same as on previous days”, the Minister said, replying to questions by reporters. He described the situation as “unchanged”, adding that “two search vessels are in the waters off Cyprus’ southern coast, whereas ‘Piri Reis’ – a Turkish search vessel – is in Cyprus’ EEZ”.
Replying to another question, the Minister said that “there hasn`t been anything unusual as regards activity in the air above our EEZ”.
“I can say that there has not been any action”, he added.
