This unique and prestigious Award is being sponsored by Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou, the serial entrepreneur best known for founding easyJet. The creation of the Award was motivated by Stelios’ goal of not only supporting disabled entrepreneurs, but also raising awareness of the skills and inventiveness of those with disabilities. We are now in the fifth year of the Award, which was launched in 2007. We are working in partnership with Leonard Cheshire Disability to find the winning disabled entrepreneur, who will be awarded a £50,000 prize to fund the further growth of their business. The two runners-up will also receive a prize of £1,000 each. The Award is a pan-disability award, please see the ‘Further Information’ tab for eligibility.
The deadline for entries for the 2011 Award has been extended until 5pm on Tuesday 1st November 2011.
