Islington Cypriot girl Sophie Habibis has admitted that she is loving her X Factor journey.
The former barmaid admitted on Saturday’s show that it sometimes gets to her that none of the fans seem very sure about who she is and confessed that she doesn’t have as many supporters as her fellow contestants, however she insists that she still feels ‘blessed’ to be part of the show.
Speaking on The Xtra Factor, Sophie admitted:
It’s frickin amazing. What can I say, thousands of people would want to be where I am and I’m lucky enough to be here and sharing it with some really, really nice people, so I’m blessed right now.
Gary Barlow liked Habibis’ vocals on her rendition of ‘Wherever You Will Go’ this weekend, but claimed that she was missing a certain ‘spark’ of personality on stage.
She thinks it may have been down to nerves and added:
I was nervous but I enjoyed it a lot.
I’m just going to be myself and if people don’t think I have a spark they can think that, but hopefully they keep me in.
HIGHGATE barmaid Sophie Habibis has survived the public vote this weekend to stay part of the X Factor.
The 19-year-old was saved after performing hit song Wherever You Will Go by American rock band The Calling with unanimous praise from the judges.
The former barmaid at the Whittington Stone pub will return next week to perform alongside the remaining ten acts.
