President of the Republic Demetris Christofias departed on Saturday for Brussels to attend the European Council to focus on the Eurozone debt crisis on October 23.

The one-day Summit will focus on the future of the Eurozone, the new architecture of economic governance in the European Union and discussions on the sources of economic growth.
