The police are recommending the prosecution of ten people in relation to the deadly Mari blast.
The report into possible criminal responsibilities was handed over yesterday by the police leadership to Attorney General Petros Clerides. The ten are from the National Guard and the Fire Service.
Police are also suggesting the prosecution of four others at the discretion of the AG.
According to press reports, among these people are the former Foreign Minister, Marcos Kyprianou and Defence Kostas Papakostas. Among the offences covered are those of homicide, which is punishable to life imprisonment and causing death by negligence.
