A 56-year-old gynaecologist has been arrested on suspicion of sexually exploiting and adult and indecent assault.
The arrest came after a patient of the Larnaca private doctor complained that while she was under the influence of a hypnotic drug she awoke to find the doctor naked on top of her.
Computers and telephones have been taken for forensic examination.
The alleged victim has been examined by coroner Eleni Antoniou.
The doctor made a voluntary statement to police and is expected to appear before Larnaca District Court Thursday for a remand hearing.
