First Division

 Rizokarpasso 2 New Salamis 3: New Salamis got a shock when they were behind 1-0 to Rizokarpasso after 20 minutes when they took the lead with a goal from Yasar and took this lead into the break. This prompted New Salamis to get moving, but they took ages to get going and did not equalize until the 65th minute with a goal from Leo McKenzie who also scored the leading goal in the 75th minute and New Salamis sealed the game in the 85th minute with their third goal coming from David Hicks. Rizokarpasso’s last goal came in the last minute scored by Chris Varnavides. New Salamis still unbeaten must be favourites to win the First Division Championship for this season.

 AEL 3 Omonia 1: AEL (photo below) the surprise pack of the First Division again pulled off another shock win this time against Omonia , newly promoted AEL are unbeaten, in second place in the First Division and holding their own in the top flight. Against Omonia AEL were on top from the start they had a penalty within minutes from the start which the Omonia keeper saved from AEL’s Andy Christodoulou. AEL then took the lead with a goal from Costakis Chrysostomou then John Neophytou made it two for AEL before Zane got one back for Omonia. Steve made it 3- 1 after the break for AEL. Omonia were trying hard to get back into the game and got a penalty in the last few minutes which Vas Soteriou took and brought off a save from AEL’s keeper Andy Martides.

 Dynamo 1 Brotherhood 4: Brotherhood seem to have got back to their winning ways with a surprising win , Apostolos Yiannakas who has just got back from injury is back in the team making them tick again. Within 15 minutes Dynamo were two goals down but had the chance to get back into the game when they were awarded a penalty in the 30th minute which Kyri Georgalli  took, the first hit the post and was told to retake it, the second attempt went wide. Brotherhood got another just before half time. Dynamo made it 3-1 with a goal from John Nicholas , Brotherhood got their fourth in the 80th minute. Another hero for Brotherhood was Aaron Kennedy who scored a hat trick. The other Brotherhood goal was scored by Glen Mcsherry.

Second Division

 Maronites 3 Olympia 4: The top of the table clash for the second division certainly kept its promise of an exciting game. Olympia (Photo below) got off to a flying start by leading 2-0 with goals from Antonis Rossides and Lawrence Rispoli and you think they be coasting then, but Maronites came back fighting, as they always do when they are behind and by half time they were 3-2 up with their goals coming from Matt Demetriades, Adam Ali and Leon Agathangelou. So the second half was just as exciting with Olympia equalising with a goal from John Nicolaou and with twenty minutes Olympia suffered a major setback when one of their players got injured and had to come off they had to play with ten men as they had used up all their subs. Did not deter Olympia and they went onto score a winning goal with Kyri Georgiou and give Olympia a 4-3 win to keep them unbeaten and at the top of the second division.

 Pantel 1 Komi Kebir 1: Komi Kebir after scoring eight goals last week , they must have been disappointed with only scoring one goal this week. Both the defences were very well organised and just before the break Pantel had a penalty which was saved by the Komi Kebir keeper Aris Hadjikkou and it took to the 60th minute for the first goal to be scored for Pantel by Nick Dyce. Komi Kebir had to wait to the 85th minute to equalise with a goal from Jason Lambri. This result puts Pantel and Komi Kebir respectively in third and fourth place in the second division.

 Apoel 3 Arachne 0: Relegated Apoel are back to their winning ways with a comfortable 3-0 win over Arachne giving them their first win of the season. Apoel’s three goals coming from Panayiotis Lambrou in the 40th minute , Aristos Aristotelous in the 55th minute and again Panayiotis Lambrou in the 85th minute. Apoel show signs of improving under the management of Andy Fellahoudi and Gursel Gulfer. Anorthosis 2 Pentayia 1: Anorthosis got their second win in two weeks when they defeated Pendayia in a closely fought game . Anorthosis were leading 1-0 with a goal from Danny in the 47th minute then Pendayia equalised with Simon Phelan before Nathaniel scored a late winner in the 87th minute putting Anorthosis second in the table after three games.
