Ellen Mae Georgiou, 14, from Enfield, north London, has beat tough competition to go through to the showcase regional finals of Open Mic UK, a singing competition which searches for the UK’s best singers, singer/songwriters, rappers and vocalists of all genres who can perform either covers or your own songs.
Ellen will compete at the Corn Exchange Bedford on 23rd October, battling it out for a place at the national grand final at the O2 Arena.
The winners will be crowned in front of a capacity crowd and celebrity judges, as well as a host of media and music industry specialists. Over £50,000 in prizes are up for grabs along the way, with the winner being offered a comprehensive winner’s package and recording contract with up to £30,000 investment.
Having been writing and recording her own songs for two years, Ellen is due to release her first album Speed Train on iTunes later this month.
