Inflation in Cyprus continued to recede in September for a third consecutive month, while Euro area and EU inflation rose significantly.
According to Eurostat data, released today, annual inflation rate in September receded to 2.5% in Cyprus, compared to 2.7% in August.
Euro area annual inflation was 3.0% in September 2011, up from 2.5% in August, while EU annual inflation was 3.3% in September 2011, up from 2.9% in August.
In Greece, annual inflation recorded a significant rise from 1.4% in August to 2.9% in September.
