Cyprus Airways has announced the cancellation of all flights to and from Greece scheduled for Wednesday, due to a 24-hour strike by Greek air-traffic controllers.
According to a press release issued by CA, a total of 14 flights are affected, namely four flights to and from Athens (CY322/3, 312/3, 336/7, 348/9), four to and from Salonika (CY424/5 + CY426/7) and flights CY468/9 to and from Heraklion-Rhodes.
CA is making arrangements so that the affected passengers will depart either before or after the termination of the strike. For this reason a bigger aircraft will be used for CA flights CY348/9.
The flights to Salonika are rescheduled for October 6, as follows: CY1426 Larnaca – Salonika (departure 04:45 – arrival 06:45) and CY1427 Salonika – Larnaca (departure 07:35 – arrival 09:35)
Passengers on Wednesday’s flights to Rhodes and Heraklion can travel on Friday, October 7, the airline said.
Passengers can be briefed on the new arrangements from the CA’s call centre.
