The Council of Ministers, which convened Monday evening in an extraordinary meeting, has expressed its full support towards President of the Republic Demetris Christofias, following the publication of a report regarding the tragic blast incident at the naval base “Evaggelos Florakis”, last July.

Government Spokesman Stephanos Stephanou said after the Cabinet`s meeting that the Council of Ministers exchanged views on the report and will expect the results of the findings of a criminal investigation that will be delivered today by the police to conclude the discussion in a next meeting.

According to the report, the President of the Republic bears “grave personal responsibilities” concerning the tragic blast, which resulted to the death of 13 people.
