A Britain incorporated firm of a Turkish Cypriot businessman will start flights to the UK from illegal Tympou airport as of March 2012

Turkish Cypriot daily Havadis (14.10.11) reports that a new firm under the name North Cyprus Airlines will start operating from March 2012, conducting flights from illegal Tympou airport to UK and Turkey.

North Cyprus Airlines were established in 2009 by the Turkish Cypriot businessman Alpan Uz, who lives permanently in London.

The paper writes that company officials claimed that since the firm was incorporated in the UK has the right to conduct flight from the Larnaka airport as well and no obstacle can be put to prevent it from doing so. It also publishes the certificate of incorporation.

Company officials also stated that they were under discussion with the “TRNC government”, as they called the occupation regime, regarding the name of the airlines (Translation note: North Cyprus Airlines was founded by occupation regime shortly after the bankruptcy of the illegal Cyprus Turkish Airlines in June 2010), but since no result came out from the discussion, they will start operate under the name North Cyprus Airlines and use the initiatives KKHY (North Cyprus Airlines -Kuzey K1br1s Hava Yollar1).

The headquarters of the new company will be in London.

Havadis reports that the Turkish Cypriot businessman Alpan Uz, who is the owner of the company is planning to invest in other fields in addition to aviation area.
