MIDDLESSEX COUNTY FA YOUTH CUP U15 – ROUND 2

ACTUAL SOCCER 1 v AEK YOUTH FC 2

AEK went into this game on the back of 5 wins and 1 draw from their first 6 games. AEK knew this was going to be a real test of their character and ambitions for this season.

Their opponents Actual Soccer were from the Harrow League and a quality side with a great record from previous encounters with top sides from the Watford League.

AEK started the game well and for the first 20 minutes were the better side but you don’t always get what you want from this game and AEK were punished for a lapse in defence which allowed the ACTUAL SOCCER forward to nip in and cheekily chip the AEK keeper.

From the kick off AEK continued to press the home team and were rewarded when centre back George Kaby rose high to head home a great free kick from Dan Pugh. The second half started the same as the first with AEK on the front foot, they were finally rewarded when James Ball latched onto a through ball and unleashed an unstoppable drive from fully 25 yards into the bottom corner. For the final 25 minutes AEK stood strong and kept their cool against some strong challenges and intense pressure.

This was the U15’s best result so far against side that tested the boys in a proper game of football!
