Police appealing for potential assault victim to come forward, N14At about 02:00 this morning, Tuesday 6 September, a male member of the public heard a female scream. He then saw a woman being chased by a man. She was looking over her shoulder at the man, who was about 30-40 metres behind, and looked very scared. It is believed she was grabbed by the man at some point.The woman was seen in Bramley Road N14, junction with Westpole Avenue, before she ran down Sussex Way EN4.

The member of the public went out to look for the woman but could not find her.

Police were then called and searched the area. A 28-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of common assault and remains in custody at Edmonton police station at this stage.

Officers are extremely anxious to trace the woman. She is described as white, slim and in her late 20s or early 30s. She was wearing a three-quarter length black jacket, a knee-length black skirt and leather boots with a thick Cuban-style heel. She carried a bag.
