Apoel had an easy win against Olympiakos, mind you it did take until the 49th minute to score their first goal with Charalambides and in the 64th and 69th minute Apoel increased their lead to 3-0 with both goals scored by Solari. Olympiakos got one back in the 71st minute with Savior. The final and 4th goal came in the last minute which was well well taken by Charalambides giving Apoel a comfortable 4-1 win. This win takes Apoel to top place in the League. Apoel are really buzzing at the moment after beating Zenit St Peterburg in the UEFA Champions League during the week.
In the other Sunday game newly promoted New Salamis beat Ermis 1-0 with an 8th minute goal scored by Hadjipantelides giving New Salamis their first win of the season.
