Stormy weekend expected in Cyprus

Rain and winds is the forecast for Friday and Saturday with average day-time temperatures expected to drop by 10 degrees Centigrade, meteorologists have said.

A low pressure front over the Mediterranean is bringing unseasonable weather after Cyprus basked in scorching temperatures, they added.

On Sunday, the weather will remain overcast bringing the prospect of local showers and isolated thunderstorms.
