Division 1 Reports
New Salamis 2 Tripimeni 1
This was the big game of the day of tNew Salamis the current League Champions and Tripimeni the Champions of the previous year. Tripimeni got off to a good start with some good flowing football with a goal in the first half from Vas.
The second half Tripimeni slowed down and New Salamis were continually attacking the Tripimeni rearguard and the reds were rewarded with a penalty in the 75th minute which was taken and scored by Richard. New Salamis continued to pile on the pressure and their reward for their hard work came in the 85th minute when from a cross across the goal led to Kyri Portou heading the ball into the corner of the net , a fantastic goal to end a great match.
Aradippou 0 Dynamo 1
Newcomers to the first division Aradippou are making all the teams battle to get their points. This time it was Dynamo , both teams were fighting with good end to end action. Aradippou hitting the post twice. Dynamo’s goal came in the 70th minute with a header from Alex Violaris to give them a 1-0 win.
Omonia 1 Rizokarpasso 2
A surprise score here, newly promoted Champions Omonia were favourites to win this game but Rizokarpasso proved us wrong.
Rizo were playing very entertaining football and took the lead on the half hour with a great goal from Luke Crowe who hit a screamer into the top left hand corner of the net.
Omonia came back in the 56th minute with a goal from Anthony Aristides. Five minutes later Rizokarpasso got their deserved winner with a goal from Nicos Nicou after a Dynamo goal keeping error giving Rizo their first win of the season.
Panthea 1 AEL 1
In a game that could have gone either way. Panthea had a lot of possession, it seemed though that AEL was always the more likely team to score they were more direct.AEL took the lead 1-0 with a goal from Cos Chrysanthou and it was not till the last ten minutes that Panthea equalised with a goal from Nick Salapatas.

Olympia 2 Apoel 1
Can you believe it , Olympia from bottom of the table last season and with only one win now two wins from two are top of the KOPA second division so far this season. I t shows what a great job the Manager Andy Christou and assistant Andy Michael and of course the whole Club Olympia Committee for turning the Club around .
Olympia took the lead in the 25th minute with a penalty taken by Vince Rispoli. Apoel were playing nice football and equalised with a good goal from Matt Gulfer.
The winning goal for the new second division leaders Olympia came in the 85th minute with a good strike from Renos.
Arachne 1 Anorthosis 2
Newly relegated Anorthosis yet to win a game going into this their third game had to struggle for their first win. Anorthosis led from the 30th minute with a great volley from Fanos Chambi. Alexander added the second in the 65th minute with a good free kick. Andy Marcou got a goal back for Arachne finishing the game with Anorthosis finishing 2-1 winners.
Maronites 2 Pantel 2
An exciting end to end game. Pantel took the lead within 5 minutes after a defensive error by the Maronite’s allowing James Alexander to score. In the 40th minute Maronite’s equalised with a goal from Matthew Demetriades . Maronites then took the lead in the 60th minute with a goal from Adam Ali. Pantel would not give up and were rewarded with an equaliser right at the end with a strike from Barry Christofi.
Achna 3 Komi Kebir 8
Plenty of goals an entertaining feast at Wadham Lodge , 11 goals in all .Komi Kebir led throughout the game , before halftime 3-0 3 – 1 then the scoring in the second half were 4-1, 4-2, 5-2, 5-3 , 6, 7 and 8-3. Komi Kebir’s goals were scored by Andrew Kyprianides 2, Jason Lambri 2, Andreas Economides twice, Nick Seyho and Andros Anastasiou . Achna’s goals came from Nico Papadopoullos Andy Stylianou and Michael Charalambous
