ANTHONY Komodikis is £45 richer after he was rewarded for returning money he found unclaimed at a Potters Bar cash machine.
The 24-year-old was walking past the Halifax Bank branch on Darkes Lane, Potters Bar, on Wednesday, September 7, when he noticed a beeping noise emanating from the cash machine.
“I didn’t know what to do, it’s not every day you see £250 just sticking out of a machine – that’s a lot of cash,” he said.
“I thought it was a joke, that there might be cameras somewhere. There was no one around.”
Anthony took the money and returned to his work at Kaos hairdresser where he decided to take it back to the bank.
“The lady come back to look for it and was so grateful.”
The woman gave Anthony £20 in thanks for his honesty and the bank also gave him £25.
What a true hero
