AEL took the lead against Enosis Neon Paralimniou within seven minutes with their only  goal scored by Junior then they  had difficulty breaking the Enosis defence to score more goals their closest chance came in the 55^th minute when Enrique hit the cross bar.

AEK surprised their fans by only drawing at home with Olympiakos . AEK have recently had a good run in the Europa Cup and also drew away to Apoel last week in Nicosia.

Maybe it did not help that AEK went ahead in the 2^nd minute with a goal from Linsen it may have given them the impression and confidence they had already won the game.

After that it was all Olympiakos attacking AEK’s rearguard continuously and were rewarded with a goal in the 39^th minute with a header from Mirosavlievits .  In the second half Olympiakos two good chances to kill the game  with Tsinti and Mirosavlievits but the AEK keeper Negri brought off two good saves to keep the score 1-1 at the final whistle.

Ermis v Ethnikos was a 0-0 stalemate with Ermis sending off their player Goumenou being seent off in the 73^rd minute being the highlight of the match.
