AN unclaimed EuroMillions lottery ticket worth more than £600,000 could be sitting in the wallet of one lucky resident.
The winning ticket matched the five main numbers with one lucky star and was bought in the borough for the draw on Friday, August 5.
But no one knows who owns it, where they live or why they have not collected the life-changing prize.
The winning numbers were 13, 14, 18, 32 and 34, and the lucky star numbers were one and ten. Whoever owns the ticket has until February 1 to claim the money.
Abigail Lowe, a spokesman for the National Lottery, said: “We’re desperate to find this mystery ticket-holder and unite them with their winnings – this amazing prize could really make a huge difference to somebody’s life.
“We’re urging everyone to check their old tickets again or look anywhere a missing ticket could be hiding.
“Try checking in the pockets of clothing, in wallets, bags and down the back of the sofa – someone out there could literally be sitting on a fortune.
“We have the champagne on ice and our fingers crossed that the lucky winner comes forward to claim their win.”
If no one collects the prize the cash will go to a charity fund.
Anyone who believes they have the winning ticket for any of the National Lottery draws within the 180-day deadline can contact the National Lottery Line on 0845 910 0000.
