Two Sri Lankans were drowned yesterday while swimming with friends in the sea area of Dhekelia.
Their bodies were recovered two metres deep and 80 metres from the coast by police diversĀ at around 11 p.m. after three friends reported them missing since 7.45 p.m.
The dead were handed over to the Police of the British Base who are investigating the incident.

A CZECH tourist was found dead at the bottom of a pool on Friday night close to the apartment block where he was spending his holidays in Ayia Napa.

According to Larnaca Press Agency, Philip Nedved, 29, was found in the pool by his wife and friends who called for a doctor and ambulance.

The doctor confirmed his death while police who examined the body said they found no external injuries.

He was moved to Larnaca general hospital where state pathologist Eleni Antoniou performed an autopsy yesterday. She ruled that his death resulted from asphyxia due to drowning.
