Turkish Cypriot denies sale of property to Paphos to Paphos MunicipalityTurkish Cypriot
Tolga Ahmet Rasit denies reports published in the Greek Cypriot press that he will sell his property in Paphos to Paphos MunicipalityTurkish Cypriot daily Vatan (09.08.11) under the title: “We are not carrying out contacts to sell our property”, reports on statements by Tolga Ahmet Rasit, son of Kazim Ahmet Rasit who denied reports published in some Greek Cypriot media that he held contacts with the Paphos Municipality officials in order to sell his property in Paphos to the Municipality in order to construct there a theatre.
Speaking to illegal TAK, Rasit said that two years ago, his brother held a meeting with the Mayor of Paphos after the latest demanded to meet him in order to discuss the issue of selling to the Municipality a 15 donum [Tr. note: A donum amounts approximately to 1000 sq. meters] plot of land and a house which is built there. However, as Rasit said, there was no agreement with the Municipality and added that no other meeting ever took place, since his brother died.
Rasit went on saying that all news reports published in the Greek Cypriot press are not reflecting the reality.
